I had not realized how difficult it is to find information related to adoption in the Middle East until we started looking into it. This doesn’t mean it’s not possible or that it has not been done. Lots of people have adopted from Morocco and other Muslim countries such as Pakistan. But unfortunately there is not enough information out there about what adoption means in a Muslim country and what the process.
So I wanted to create this site first as a space to share information on adoption, or in this case kafala, but also to share our experience of adopting in Jordan, an Arab Muslim country, in hopes of creating a community of people who are also exploring and navigating the same process.
I hope you not only find information here, but also share with us your experiences and enjoy reading about ours.
